Natalie Took It Back 59.03!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what I'm talking about!!!! :D
  • I'd be peeved too, he hasn't gotten much respect coming into trials. It was a legitimate question, though, and there was no reason for him to be such an a-hole answering it.
  • just an observation most meets want swimmers to quickly clear the pool so the next heat can begin it's safer and athlets use less energy to side exit It probably helps keep the suits from ripping to get out via the ladders, so that's a plus...
  • What are the chances of some rookies making the team tonight. Yesterday it was Christine Magnuson and Elaine Breedan making it in the 100 Fly over favorites Komisarz, Descenza, and Volmer. However the 400 Free you had the favorites Hoff and Ziegler making it over Schmitt and Burckle. Ziegler is a rookie to the Olympic Team even though it doesn't seem that way. Tonight you have four finals and I believe two of them at least 4 swimmers have a chance to be rookies and make the team. In the 200 Free I am going to pick Phelps and VDK for the first two places and the next 4 will be Walters, Berens, Keller, and Vendt. In the Women's 100 Back its going to be the two swimmers that broke the World Record that everyone expects to make the team so no suprise here. The question is who will win and what will one or both swimmers do in a time and will both break the :59.00 standard. Natlie has not lost to an American swimmer in this event since 2000. Will this 8 year streak end tonight? This should be the best race of the night. I am picking Natlie just slightly only because she has never lost to an American but this could change tonight and I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Hayley McGregory was 3rd in both the 100 Back and 200 Back in 2004 so this is her chance right here to be on the team and there is a lot of pressure to get this race out of the way. The Men's 100 Back will be a war with the top 4 swimmers from the semi finals. Ryan Lochte had to swim the 200 Free before the semi finals of this yesterday and I don't know what type of swim he is in for with the additional rest. Randal Bal for the last year has been swimming great and this is probably his last shot to make the team after all these years. His performances in the heats and semi finals makes it hard to pick against him. Matt Grevers is the wild card in this and has a chance as well and if he is close, those long arms at the finish might get it done. Then there is Aaron Piersol, who up until early last year was considered one of the best in history but then lost the World Championship to Lochte in the 200 and then lost to both Phelps and Lochte in the 100 at Duel in the Pool last year and he kind of lost some respect by the swimming community for this. I am picking Randal Bal and Ryan Lochte for the first 2 places tonight. The Women's 100 *** will be a war with the top 4 swimmers from the semi finals. I like rookies Soni and Hardy to get it done over veterns Jendrick and Kirk. Amanda Beard will finish behind these swimmers and could get as high as fifth.
  • great analysis and picks hope haley makes it she has excellent speed natalie should win it might see a 58 I really want piersol to win it but right now it's very close it's going to take a world record he hasn't lost respect others have stepped up their game to his level just as lochte has stepped up to phelps amanda may not have the goods looks like she should have started training harder sooner What are the chances of some rookies making the team tonight. Larsen did not like that underdog question one bit! That was an uncomfortable moment for sure. What did he say? Wait a sec... I found the interview... can we say ATTITUDE? He was a jerk throughout the entire interview!
