  • I am rooting for Vendt tonight. I hope that he can breakthrough at Beijing. He would do amazingly well in the 400 IM at the last two Olympics, then seem to fall apart of the 1500 final. It's the first day of an eight day meet vs. the last. With pretty much "just" the 1500 to focus on he should be okay - hard to taper for both. He is also is swimming free so much better than he was 4 years ago. I would LOVE to see him win the gold in Beijing.
