hello everyone,
im a masters swimmer from the UK and a late starter in the sport. im 23 this year and im hoping to lower my short course 50m free time. i can currently do around 27. i was wondering what you guys tend to do for sprint training? my masters club over here tends to concentrate on distance and yardage every session which is frustrating for someone like myself.
if i could ascertain some pool time on my own what would be the most beneficial method to increase my freestyle speed? lactate production or threshold work? being a novice, i know very little about specific sprint training for 50m.
any feedback would be greatly received, im hoping to swim at the world masters over in the US someday (when my times are greatly improved hopefully!)

Welcome to the group. As time goes on you will realize that you are really not that late of a starter to the sport. :oldman:
