I have a non existent kick, so I guess you could say I pull the entire practice.
the pull buoy does two things, that I see, keeps your legs up and helps the body stay in line. as well as makes it harder to kick when you have one between your legs.
I use a pull bouy but also have used without where I have rubber tie that goes around my ankels. I much prefer the buoy cause it keeps ya boyant, but thats what the rubber tie around ankles helps develop.
thanks guys ya i was able to pull without it for awhile then when my arms got tired i started kicking uncontrollably lol. seems like the with the pull bouy between your legs or bands on your ankles it keeps that from happening.
anyone not use a pull bouy when pulling? im going to try it next practice but im just wondering now if anyone does it.
Never used one. I float pretty high and my legs don't sink. (a n d I a m n o t f a t) so, for pulls, I just let my legs float and they follow me. :)

ME!
Though lets clarify...
I have one but tend not to use it. I own two sets of paddles, but almost never use either. If I use a buoy, I usually don't use paddles; if I use paddles, which is quite infrequently, I usually leave the buoy on deck.
