Front page story in the LA Times regarding the suit. Biggest article on swimming I have ever seen. Good quotes by Gary Hall-check it out EOM

Someone should offer $50,000 if anyone can break 21.50 or 47.50 in a regular brief. Or perhaps just $50k to the fastest 100m LCM time in a regular brief in 2008. That should settle the debate about the role of the suits. I agree with you 1000%. With this "suit technology" stuff, swimming is being turned into a NASCAR kind of spectacle instead of the elite athtletic endeavor it has been for over 50 years and my never-ending pet peeve is the hassle of suiting up your body in some kind of "costume" to go in the water. If I had to wear a body suit (instead of going in the water about 95% "Au Natural" in briefs) in my old swimming days, I would have never taken it up at all and just stayed on dry land. Dolphin 2
