FINA are going to review current swimsuit design amid concerns that technology is influencing the sport: news.bbc.co.uk/.../7312593.stm Seems strange to me that the only way technical suits can be legal is if they do not offer an advantage but that the only reason for wearing one is to gain an advantage. Does anyone out there wear a technical suit for reasons other than to help them go faster?

My guess is that George is pulling our leg. After all, he has called for a flat headed swimmer in order to make it work right. Mel you figured out the flat headed swimmer thing, but I have watched a demo by a friend and the flat headed idea is a good one. I will test the two items he suggested and will report back. This friend also suggested that the hands enter from a dive with the hands in a closed fist. This would be similar to divers diving into the water from a tower with clenched fists he thought it would produce the super cavitation bubbles. The idea is it will make bubbles that will surround the body as you swim.
