This is crazy! Though after her 6 second drop in the 400IM to take the World Record this is not surprising. I can't believe she dropped under 2:09 though. AMAZING! I hope Katie Hoff answers back at trials. The IMs are shaping up to be really great races for the women with Hoff, Rice, and Coventry - plus whoever else is able to step up that day.
Paul the fly split take the start into account... I'm confused by your comment. She swam a 28.03 first 50 - that is from the gun/electronic start to her hands at the end of the 50.
I meant that she would have swam the Fly leg in under 29 even without the boost of the elevated block start (gives a time reduction of about .5 seconds). AKA she was moving :-)
