I managed to break my toe this weekend and honest to god, as I was sitting on the stairs, in the dark, cursing :rant3:whatever I had tripped over, all I could think of was -how am I going to swim? I did this 2 years ago(kicked the stupid ladder on the side of the pool-while trying to make room for another swimmer- and caught my little toe) and I had to stop swimming for a couple of weeks.:toohurt: Is there something I can tape my toes with that won't come off when wet?

:toohurt: It is now almost 2 weeks later and I have been able to swim every other day, with very little discomfort, but I lost all motion and flexibility in my toes which worried me enough to go to the Dr. She made me get an X-ray and it turns out the 3 middle toes are fractured. I wonder if I made things worse by swimming, even though I had little to no pain. Thanks again though for all the tips......

ensignada I guess we were all stupid. First check with a doctor and have an xray. Then wrap it. You should have wrapped your whole foot.

LOL, I did the same thing last summer - the first day of my vacation, which I had planned to spend, playing tennis, going to the US OPen, and swimming. Needless to say, I could only swim. I swam the very next morning after I broke the bone under my baby toe. It was quite swollen and bruised. Just tape the baby toe and toe next to it with duct tape. It will not come off! Nothing else worked for me.
