They actually got snow in the Federal Way area today and there could be more overnight tonight. Very unusual this time of the year around here. Good thing the meet is indoors!
Our "live" coverage is about 30 seconds to one minute behind the actual race at www.swimmingworldmagazine.com.
For those who have been watching it, I hope you're having as much fun watching it as I am recording it!
The ESPN2 coverage couldn't be any more dreadful. I hope this isn't an indication of what we can expect from NBC in Beijing. They can't show a whole 200? They showed the first 25 of the medley relay and the last about 10 yards.
Web delivery will be the future of swim coverage, eventually with the ability to display multiple camera views and on demand access. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer...
I'd rather watch it on a big screen HD TV than a small computer screen.
They can't show a whole 200? They showed the first 25 of the medley relay and the last about 10 yards.
How much of the 1500 do you think we'll see this summer? I'm guessing about the same percentage and it's shaping up to be a very exciting race. Of course there could be many exciting races in Beijing!
I'm holding out hope that I can buy some sort of enhanced PPV package from NBC for full sports coverage or get CBC somehow via my local cable provider.
