I must say I am a tiny bit surprised Texas didn't swim a bit better. They supposedly did not rest for the Big12s, one month earlier, which they won handily. Klueh swam very well. And Berens had some good swims. But the freestylers as a whole were merely "fast."
I didn't expect another record in the 800 FR - since it was the first night of the Big12s. But they were not "on."
Auburn on the other was truly a disappointment and followed the performance of the women a week earlier.
