A longer vessel moves faster through water...........
and, everything else being equal, the taller one will reach the wall(s) first.
I would think the ratio of hull length to width would be more important, otherwise an aircraft carrier is going to be the fastest thing on the water.
Anyway, I know the "longer is faster" line, I was just curious if Shaman had anything else in mind. In a race without turns I don't think height should matter other than the hull length issue.
