Not sure what I think of Colorado's live result boards
Right now I prefer Omega Timings
Sorry I didn't log on and inform you guys earlier, but you can watch the third day of finals at the women's meet LIVE by going to www.swimmingworldmagazine.com and clicking the link in red under the SwimmingWorld.TV banner. It'll take you to the site where we're partnering with the NCAA to stream the meet live, starting at 7 p.m. tonight. We've been doing it since Thursday. Yes, there's a little bit of a delay, but I hope you're OK with seeing the swims five seconds later than they happen.
We'll be live streaming the men's meet as well. If you notice anything tonight we can do better on the live stream, send an email to jeffc@swimmingworldmagazine.com. Obviously, I won't be able to get your email until AFTER the meet, as I'll be running the camera, but I'll read it first chance I get afterwards.
If you don't have time to watch the meet, Jason Marsteller's like a road runner getting event recaps on our site.
We're going to have all the races available on demand a few days after the meet. Keep checking the site for more info on that.
Arizona is swimming lights out. Auburn, on the other hand, as a team, is really struggling. Their 800 free relay tonight--that set a new NCAA and American Record last month--placed eight, nearly 10 seconds slower than a month ago. That, folks, is a meltdown.
A&M did an awesome job
Texas should fare much better next year
they've got some stunning recruits like Kathleen Hersey
images.google.com/images
who went 2:07 in the 200 LCM fly
1:56.0 in the 200 IM
400 IM 4:04:19
Kim Brackin also coaches Kirsty Coventry who broke the WR in the 200 BK
And the Texas A&M women swam very very well to finish 4th. Stanford overtook them on the last day because of 3 divers in the platform to A&M's zero divers.
A&M beat perennial powers Cal, Florida, Georgia, and of course Texas who dragged in at 14th place.

I went to the NCAA Woman's Div. 1 Champs at The Ohio State Univ. this past weekend. AZ was tough as nails, strong and had a deep talented squad. Texas A&M was also strong, young, fast and well coached. Cal looked very good but when I looked at the times they swam in Ohio against the Pac 10 Champs a few weeks ago---perhaps they peaked for Pac 10 a few weeks early.
Isn't Mary Beck going there also (HS record holder in the 200 IM), I know Gingrich is as well(she holds the Y nats record for the mile, and is the top seed running away in the 200 fly this year also)
Looks like Auburn completely missed their taper......by about a month or so.
Boy, you got that right. I watched the SEC championships last night (after the Heels put a beat down on Arkansas) and Auburn was really on fire. Guess not so much now.

Texas' fall recruiting class is superb. Perhaps the best in the nation. Hersey and Gingrich are already super-fast. They should instantly make Texas a top 10 team again. Texas' best swimmer, Escobar, is back next year. Texas is paying the price for the dropoff in recruiting that occurred in the last several years of the prior coaching staff. Most of their points at NCAAs this year were earned in diving. Mary Beck is an early verbal commit for fall 2009.
Coventry was a superstar at Auburn - also with Brackin as her coach so they go back a ways.
Only two of A&M's points were scored by a senior. The bulk of that team is juniors and sophomores. NCAAs are in College Station in 2008.
I watched as much of the NCAAs as I could via live streaming. Arizona's relays were just dominant. Incredible depth and man were they ready to race. Both Az and A&M went under 7:00 in the 800 free relay.
Cal, Stanford, and Auburn may have been a bit past their taper for their conference championships?
