And we're hearing about it more these days because (hopefully) we've realized these matters shouldn't just be handled privately. It used to be these pervs probably were quietly "let go" from their current positions and they just moved on to another coaching position where, odds are, they did the same thing again.
I'd like to think this kind of thing is relatively uncommon, but the reality is that it's not. I bet most of us who have been involved in swimming most of our lives can think of at least one coach who had, or at least was suspected of, having an inappropriate relationship with a swimmer.
That is exactly right...unfortunately.
Certainly does not look good for the Upper Arlington coach. However, that being said, remember he has only been arrested and charged. To my knowledge he has not been convicted yet. I will give him his day in court first. That being said Shark, it is public knowledge about his arrest and whether you like or dislike info was posted on here, I believe it is freedom of the press and speech.

I agree....and the more light that is shown on morons like this the better.
Darkness can not hide from the light!!!!!!
Shark, you want to get in to opinions....if the guy IS convicted...castration is too easy on people like this!!!
Quitting is always a legitimate option in masters swimming. That's the beauty of it.... :-)
True. Every practice, set, meet, etc. is strictly optional.
We may have to rethink this challenge, U of A women just went 1:37.6 in prelims this morning!
JS, if neither of us can beat Dara's 50/100 times and our medley relay gets cmoked byt the gals...I propose we take up ice fishing.
