Just wondering if any of you can recommend a competition suit (women's--breaststroke as primary stroke) that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. I am getting back into competition but am not training nearly enough to justify spending $100+ on a suit. Is there something in between the pricey Fastskins and the cheap old lycra suits that anyone else wears?

Thanks so much - I went ahead and ordered the Aquablade one size down as you suggested.
Got a good deal from my old friend Bill Hugg - $38.50 @ www.wbhswim.com/aquablade.html......

Thanks again for the Aquablade sizing advice - one size down.
I wore it this past weekend at a Masters meet for the first time and it fit perfectly - and was fairly comfortable for the four hours I had it on!
And I am conviced that it made a difference in my two swims (500 & 1,000) - I am in a new age group, got 2 state records and 2 Masters Nationals cuts!

Yes, the Speedo Aquablade. It should be a little under $100.
I bought the Speedo Aquablade for $50 from swimoutlet.com. It is just the basic suit, doesn't cover the legs or anything. I, too, couldn't justify spending a ton of money for a suit I'm only gonna wear a few times. My only regret is I didn't buy it small enough. I bought a 40, but have since lost 11lbs, so before my next meet I have to buy a new suit.
