Speedo has released their "new and improved" suit. Below is a link to the story at swimming world, with quotes from various swimmers about "how it makes em feel"

As much as I like body suits... I just can't see buying a "new and improved" style until they quit making the older models.
But I bet some 10 year old will have it for a b-c meet before long.
I'm sure there's a market for these suits, but if someone does break a record or PB, is it really a record or PB if the suit alone made it possible?
It is really hard to measure if it was the suit alone that made it possible. Different conditions, conditioning, etc. make for too many variables to determine a viable study. A lot of this sport is mental - I am sure wearing the suits help keep your mind at ease about that and will let you worry about something else.
As an example, I dropped nearly 3 seconds of my 200 free PB in a relay split this past December wearing the FS Pro legs, which I do not trust work all that well. We were going for a record, and I swam as hard and as fast as I could to not let my teammates down. We got the record.
Last time I watched the video, I swam the race myself... the suit didn't swim it. I probably could have done that time naked if we were under the same conditions.
Where can one obtain a bargain blowout Fastskin I?
Many on-line stores are selling FastSkin 1's at half off their original price.
They're getting harder to come by...unless you like red and wear an XXXL
