Trash Talk

Jeff may be a sprinter but I give him a lot of credit for doing longer events (ie, REAL swimming events). Last summer I saw him do OW races of 2 miles and 5K. add: 1st in the 1650 at the AutiSwim 1000/1650 meet last month (don't remember the time) Paul mentioned his 400IM last weekend he also beat me (wasn't too hard to do) in the 500 w/ a 5:low 20s last weekend. i'd say he's embracing his inner distance swimmer.

And yet...he chickened out of the 400IM/500F double next weekend...after making ME sign up for it! Once a sprinter, always a sprinter.

Seriously, throwing down the gauntlet on the 200 BR is like challenging someone to a belching contest, no one cares or will watch.

Well, I have to give a slight edge to Kirk in the pre-race trash talk war but neither has been impressive. I guess they let their swimming do the talking...sheesh, how boring is that? I have an inverse relationship between my 500 FR time and my desire to trash talk. The lower the time the higher the trash talk. 5:12 is Ms. Nicey Nice. 5:05 reserves the right to turn into Bee-yatch. Sub 5:05 is Amy Van Dyken cat fights Inge De Brujn. I'd have to think on a sub 5 time. Not thought ahead that far! :lmao:
