While my personal view is that trash talking is unnecessary and counter productive, none the less it seems some good natured trash talking is beginning in the kicking thread.Since not everyone is interested in how important kicking is,but everyone is interested in the S(he) Man/Knelson battle of the Titans, not to mention the Muppet/Fort demolition derby,I thought it should have it's own thread. So,go ahead, make my day.
Nice try. But I went a 29.9 in the 50 back with 6 months training and a 24 year lay off. :duel:
Since you've tired of our 50 back duel and your inevitable losses, we'll have to go back to the 50 free vs. 50 fly duel. You got a ways to go.
Not so fast, Monofin Girl. Seems I just happened to post a 29.66 this weekend after a little less than 5 months of training. Hmm. Looks like there might be a 'gridge' there after all.

I have lost I.Q. points just looking at this thread.
I agree with JMiller. It's retarded.
But I'll still take on Chris for the worst breaststroker around title.
Puh-leeze. I know you have had shoulders problems, but let me know when you've had 3 knee operations :cane: and then we we can talk. Until then, there is just no contest.
Though I do admire your trash-talking versatility: you trumpet your ability fast AND slow...:applaud:

I have no excuse for my lousy breaststroke technique. My knees are just dandy. It's the other joints that are more problematic. And as I now have tendonitis in my foot (WTF?), I can't even rag on Julie for being a klutz anymore. We'll have to limp around together and pick on Tall Skinny Girl.
The previous poster echoes the feeling of some this is a completely useless thread. I agree (and that's what makes it fun)...perhaps matched only by publicly commenting on useless threads...so I thought I would post some ANTI-trash-talking and praise two swims of Jeff Roddin's from the past weekend meet in Richmond. Since I called him that most wicked of terms (sprinter) in this thread, I figure I owe it to him.
First, our 400 IM race
Jeff: 26.90 57.36 1:32.65 2:07.43 2:44.98 3:22.09 3:53.62 4:23.47
Chris: 26.57 56.93 1:29.21 2:01.21 2:41.35 3:22.66 3:54.05 4:23.70
I'm told it was a fun race to watch; I'm glad our pain was amusing to some -- I felt the effects of this race well into the next day. Fortress, I think we can all agree that there can be no doubt that I lay claim to the crown of worst breastroker around...keep in mind that breaststroke is Jeff's WORST stroke and his split on that leg was almost 7 seconds faster than mine.
Anyway, given that Jeff is such a (ahem) sprinter, I expected to be able to chase him down in the free even though I was absolutely spent, but no dice. So my hat's off to him  and I'll never publicly call him a sprinter again.
(As an aside, I was cursing Jeff all through the subsequent 500 free, which followed this race by about 20 minutes or so. My original intent was to get a "fresh" 500 free time. And somehow Jeff's entry in that event was lost in the mail...go figure...!:dunno:)(sorry, needed to inject a LITTLE trash talk...)
I did get to be a spectator for Jeff's Sunday 100 IM duel with Murphy Halasz, the 25-year-old stud of the meet:
Murph: 25.16 54.37
Jeff: 25.38 54.89
Unlike myself, Murph actually has a very nice breastroke...not to mention a killer butterfly. Oh, and did I mention he is 25? So I thought this was a very impressive race for young Jeff! (Jeff, I think he knows your name by now.)
And as I now have tendonitis in my foot (WTF?), I can't even rag on Julie for being a klutz anymore. We'll have to limp around together and pick on Tall Skinny Girl.
Excuse me? As of today I am walking normally again, no limp and no pain in my foot at all. And don't pick on the tall skinny girl, next thing you know YOU'RE going to have whiplash from turning too quickly to see the clock at MAC only to find out you and your tendonitis got smoked by a broken foot and whiplash in the 50 back.
March 15th...see you there.
Does this mean no more inflat-a-foot?
No, at least another 10 days in the sporty boot. I can still swim, so I won't be getting out of shape because of this. It will be fine. I'm not worried one bit!
I'm told it was a fun race to watch; I'm glad our pain was amusing to some
It was very fun to watch, except for the breaststroke portion. Perhaps exciting is a more apt description. I can't really say anything bad about Chris' breaststroke because his br is considerably better than my bk!
Pretty meek on your trash talk you guys. Gotta pep it up and get nasty, I am dissapointed Fort you are not the Old Fort I used to know.
You used to be nasty, nasty, nasty.
You have mellowed and are almost silky soft in your trash talk.
You have to be bad.
I remember when...
George, you like talking to yourself more than anyone I've ever seen. Do you have trouble keeping track of all those aliases or do you just use the same password for all of them? :mooning:
