Women's Swimsuits

Can someone give me a rule of thumb of what type of suit a woman should wear for the following situations: 1. Training 2. Regular season meet 3. Final meet like state/zone champs or nationals 4. Regular open water event for 1-2 miles I have 3 types of suits - the fully lined, sort of heavy practice type suits, lesser lined Speedo/TYR "racing" suits and a fast skin. At present I swim for my own personal achievements and goals, I am not the slowest at meets, but I'm definitely in the bottom half. Thank you for your input.

I wear what I feel like & what I have in my bag. I've been known to wear training suits the criss-cross & corset backs as well as lycra suits. I haven't gotten into wearing the bodysuits -- something about the feel of the water . . . I just like to feel the water. AND, I'm not setting World Records, so a few seconds here and there does not really matter to me.
