So, I see a few of you already into your 2008 SCY meet schedules. So, I got to thinking...I wonder who's going where this year? This might be a great way to plan to make some new friends (drinking)/have some fun (drinking) with old ones once again...dang my (drinking) key is sticking again. So answer the following questions and let the fun (drinking) begin::party2::drink: 1. What's your zone, LMSC, and club? 2. What meets are you planning to attend? 3. Are you going to Nationals in May? Okay, I'll go first: 1. Dixie Zone, Georgia LMSC, Unattached 2. Meets: - Auburn Masters Invitational, Auburn, AL 2/16-17 - St. Patrick's Day Invitational, Atlanta, GA, 3/15-16 - GA Northern Divisionals, Athens, GA, 3/28-30 (*USA-S meet) - Gary Eaton Memorial Invitational, Atlanta, GA, 4/25-27 3. No to Nats for now. The Gary Eaton meet is my taper meet. Mark

The meet entry info isn't available yet that I know of...The general meet listing is available at the Dixie Zone site: www.dixiezone.org/Meets.htm. Keep an eye out for the entry info there, probably in the next 30 days or so... Anyone have a link to the Gary Eaton meet? Is it a USMS meet?

Mermaid, Is your AMS LMSC, Allegheny Mountain? As in Pittsburgh, my hometown (actually, the burbs of Plum Borough/Penn Hills/Monroeville.) I tried to look around for you, but all I found was some info through the Lake Erie LMSC http://www.lelmsc.org/. The Lake Erie site listed "Allegheny LMSC (Team Pitt site)" www.psc.edu/.../tpa.htm under its "Swim Links." Sorry, that's all I got... Mark (I'd say go Pirates! But, well...you know...15 years of losing wears on you.) Mermaid, Go here: www.usms.org/.../lmscwebsites.php Click on your Zone and LMSC web sites and root around for meet/competition info. Good luck. Mark

I know what you mean...sometimes there's nothing...sometimes you REALLY have to dig. - look in newsletters for announcements, - past meet results (for probable upcoming meets) - other links (AZ has a lot) - individual team web sites (usually a best bet for their sponsored meets) - neighboring LMSC sites, etc. - contact one of your LMSC chairs When I looked under Links/Teams/Ford Aquatics Masters (a biggie, I presume, but not sure if it's near you) here's what they show as tentative: Ford Aquatics Masters Meet Info.(click on the meet info. you wish to view) DATES MEET NAME / LINK & LOCATION 02/03/08 Polar Bear Classic XVIII, Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, Tucson, AZ 03/??/08 ¿¿¿Sun Devil Invitational??? 03/28/08 - 03/30/08 ??? ¿¿¿Arizona Masters SC Yards State Championships??? 04/11/08 - 04/13/08 SC Yards SW Zone, Mission Viejo, CA (meet info) 05/01/08 - 05/04/08 USMS SCY Nationals, University of Texas, Austin, TX Good luck, Mark That's a good concept, but so far it looks like there is only 1 meet scheduled in Arizona this year: www.azlmsc.org/events.htm I'm sure there will be more as the time gets closer.
  • Not much offered IN Arizona, so I am attending a couple of Senior meets to round out the schedule: Polar Bear - Masters, Feb 2-3, Tucson, AZ Lost Dutchman - Senior, Feb 16-18, Phoenix, AZ State Meet - Senior, Mar 14-16, Phoenix, AZ (9 trials/? finals) :cane: State Meet - Masters, Mar 28-30, Tucson, AZ Nationals in Austin
