I would consider the main options to be: VMST in Midlothian: 11621 Robious Rd, coached by a number of people, including Jim Miller (former USMS prez and coach of the year). They have a large group and the most number of practices. I swim there at least once weekly; it is a great group. Health club web site (with directions) at http://richmond.acac.com/ Swimquest in Midlothian: 6800 Deer Run Drive, coached by Dudley Duncan, who is an excellent coach. Swimquest is also a USS club; web site for masters portion is www.swimquest-richmond.com/Masters_AC.asp Midlothian is south of the river, about 10 miles from the city. A third option south of the river is at Robious Sports & Fitness Center. I don't know too much about them, I think it is mostly triathletes. North of the river is the NOVA masters group (this is where I usually swim). Coach is Mark Kutz, who is just awesome. We swim M-F 5:45 - 7:15am, though many get out early. Go to http://www.novaswim.org/ for more info, including directions (scroll down for the masters stuff; NOVA is also a USS team). There is a group that swims at the Tuckahoe Y north of the river, too. I don't know details about their practices. Leave me a PM if you want more details; I'm not sure how interesting this will be to most forumites. Chris
