Ok, I have another nit-picky question. :)
When you finish a freestyle race, do you simply try to finish at full extension on your side while still doing a normal (albeit fast) freestyle kick? Or do you do a dolphin kick on your final stroke into the wall (like people sometimes do on backstroke)?
Thanks!
Ok, good. That's what I thought, but I have noticed some of the faster swimmers on our kids' team doing the dolphin into the wall on the last stroke during practice, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't behind on the times. Maybe they are just being lazy when they do it. :laugh2:
I concur with the lazy assumption. Unfortunately, I know this from personal experience. When I have a good finish I am turned to either side and make the big stretch for the finish.
