Freestyle finish

Ok, I have another nit-picky question. :) When you finish a freestyle race, do you simply try to finish at full extension on your side while still doing a normal (albeit fast) freestyle kick? Or do you do a dolphin kick on your final stroke into the wall (like people sometimes do on backstroke)? Thanks!

  • Ok, good. That's what I thought, but I have noticed some of the faster swimmers on our kids' team doing the dolphin into the wall on the last stroke during practice, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't behind on the times. Maybe they are just being lazy when they do it. :laugh2: they are definitely being lazy. we have to remind our kids not to do that and to attack the wall on their finishes. even if someone is in their way...
