I tried it the other night...besides getting some strange looks, I found that it helped with the idea of grabbing water and rolling yourself past the board.
When I tried pushing the board it hurt my shoulders but when I placed the board in the water and tried to drive my body past it, I went a long way down the pool with no shoulder issues.
The biggest thing I got out of that drill...it was FUN!!!! Which to me is sometimes way more important than anything else a drill,set,practice can do for one's swimming...just doing it to have FUN.
