So our state meet is coming up, and it's time to order champ suits.
I swim breaststroke, so what type of suit will be best for me?
I don't one that costs more than $150.
Or does it not matter and it's just a personal preference?
Are you close to any records, top ten times, or some other goal? The reason I ask is that even though some swimmers here will swear by these high-tech suits, they only help so much. Maybe 3 seconds in a 200 ***... So is it worth the extra investment for a few extra seconds? If you're not near the top of the pack, I really don't understand the 10x investment -v- a regular suit.
As for regular speedo suits, Speedo.com and Swimoutlet.com both have several aquablade and older fastskin brief suits on clearance....for like $20-30.
Even if a suit gave me 5 extra seconds per 100, which is unheard of, it still wouldn't put me in the competitive category, so I've resigned myself to actually just doing my best with what I have.
