Just got around to looking at the December copy of Men's Health. Jim Thornton has a nice article about the workings of the heart during exercise and the benefits of exercise to long life. Good article. How surprised I was to find it was written by a fellow poster. (I am assuming that it is THE Jim Thornton of this here forum) Good job, Jim.

Yep, tis the same. I inquired of him, sometime ago, when we became Facebook friends, about his line of work. He told me he wrote for the magazine. Last week I was in Brasilia and bought a copy in English (there is a brazilian version, I haven't checked it out yet), and to my pleasant surprise there was an article by the one and only James Thornton. So now I have a famous writer as a friend. And a fast swimmer also. billy fanstone
thanks guys! I am going to be doing another article this january that may be of some interest to posters here--spend a day with Dara Torres! More when I get back from practice...
