Oh my. Katie Hoff broke two American Records yesterday. She swam a 9:10.77 in the 100 free to destroy Kate Zeigler's previous mark of 9:21.57, and she swam a 1:53.77 in the 200 IM.
That 1000 time is absolutely astounding. Her 500 splits were 4:37.02, 4:33.75. Just for the record, the current AR in the 500 free is 4:33.35. :bow:
I believe both Hoff and Zeigler are swimming the 500 free today, albeit at different meets. We could see a sub 4:30 from one if not both of them.

I find it humbling to consider that some swimmers are able to swim their second 500 of a 1000 in a time that is minutes faster than I can swim a 500 alone. Amazing.
