It's not going to be as interesting as Ande's but I realized when I was powerlifting 10 years ago that this is the best way for me to track and evaluate my progress so here it is.

So there I was thinking that it might be a good idea to try other things. So I decided to drop by and work out with Fortress. OH....MY.....GOD... She is insane but in a good way. I don't remember my quads ever just BURNING like they did, even at the height of my powerlifting. I have no idea what we did in terms of distance I just know it hurt.
Oh, BTW to Mr Paul 'let's come up with something completely insane' Smith, we tried your V-scull/10 second power kick/SDK/sprint flutter kick 50s. I think we did 6 of them? I dunno, can't remember thru the pain. Ugh. Yes, they were different and YES, they hurt. But they were a very nice change of pace.
So this has caused me to rethink my current swimming fitness level. I had thought that I was about a 6.5-7 on a 1-10 scale but now, after dragging my sorry carcass from the pool, I think it's closer to a 5.
But, had fun, it was definately intense and definately what I need to work more of. And my admiration for Fortress and her level of dedication/effort continues to rise. Thanks for letting me suffer, Leslie :thhbbb:
But seriously, thanks for the workout. Believe it or not, I did enjoy it.
