I could feel the darn thing coming on all weekend. I started taking Cold FX yesterday but this morning when the alarm went off I thought no way as I cannot breathe and feel yucky. Do you swim with a cold or am I being a big baby? Katie

  • Okay, all you "I"ll swim with a cold because...I'm tough/addicted to swimming/it clears my sinuses... Fine for the first two reasons, but the third is unsanitary and selfish. The rest of the team/public gets to swim in your snot trails and breathe your germs - which, BTW, love the pool's hot, moist environment...do us all a favor and get your endorphin high another way until you're non-contagious. I can't speak for anyone else, buti don't blow snot in the pool. Actually, no snot builds up at all, which is the whole point of it. And if you think about all the excretions that end up in a pool, and what body parts the water is swishing in and around, snot is going to be the least of your worries.
