Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.
I did it!! I got the suit on. :applaud::applaud: I told the suit it was going on today no matter what and then I did it. Although.. I broke a seam doing so but it should be okay. :badday: Now I know why it's so hard to get on up top. The suit comes up to my neck. It's a very high suit. I'm not used to that but it didn't bother me and the suit fits really well. Now it's back in the bag until May.
Here's one for the women. How do you get the tech suit over the shoulders? Or... how many tries should I give it until I give up? I bought a Tyr Fusion 2 for Nationals. I bought a size smaller than usual to see if I could get in it. I can, over the hips (which is where I didn't think it would fit) but I can't get my arms in the top. I'm not large on top at all and yet it won't let my arms in. I've tried twice now and have the red skin marks to prove it. I'd hate to give up too soon since this one fits me SOOO good on the bottom and I've found lately that the tops are too big.
I tried on the new FINA approved suits yesterday. To get my arms in was hard, too, although the hardest part for me was over my hips, and my hips are small. I have sore skin, too! The swimsuit sales woman told me LZR elite at least has hips!
But I agree, you need the smaller size so you don't get the gapping on top.
I'll read my instructions to see if there are any tips, but here's what I did:
I brought the suit up as high as I could on my body. Then I closed my eyes and pictured the suit coming up over my arms and then over my shoulders and I pulled each arm in and I made it!

Normally, the hips are my problem. But not on this suit. Okay.. I'm going to try the "picturing" idea. Thanks.
Oh, no! do you think it fits better with the seam broken...or are you going to get your money back?
I think it fits better with the seam gone. It's one of 2 that sews up the neckline so it's not a "holding 2 parts together" seam. I can sew it again if needed.
Agreed! My husband had to help me the 1st time. I had the mother of all muffin tops. Ugh.
That sausage scarf avatar is just gross. It's no wonder I'm totally un-psyched for LC season if that's how we will have to look/feel.
Seeing the women's locker room keeps everything up to date. Does any one know who won the Women's and Men's Hockey at the Olympics. I know that we like to be kept abreast with the results.
Seeing as this post is a couple days old, you probably already know the US and Canada played for gold for both men's and women's and the results were the same: Canada Gold and USA Silver. Good men's games between Canada and the US, didn't watch the women's.
I don't care what they look like, they feel great and make you swim fast!
If I want to look good I'll take extra time in the locker room after the meet.

Ha ha!! That's how I plan on looking and feeling without my B70 after the 200 LCM fly. My only consolation is that everyone else will be in the same boat.
Based on your former picture, I find this impossible to believe.
The proof of the muffin top is in the pudding.
Please post any picture of your comely abdominal regions showing anything remotely resembling a muffin top.
I know muffin tops, Big Noodler.
Muffin tops are a friend of mine.
You are no muffin top.
I want to be a muffin top and believe me, I am when I've got the Jaked on midway. Takes some back and side stuff to create one. It's there. My hubby is the one who yelled "muffin top" when he was helping me put it on. Pics would surely get me thrown off this board at the very least.
