Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.
Here's one for the women. How do you get the tech suit over the shoulders? Or... how many tries should I give it until I give up? I bought a Tyr Fusion 2 for Nationals. I bought a size smaller than usual to see if I could get in it. I can, over the hips (which is where I didn't think it would fit) but I can't get my arms in the top. I'm not large on top at all and yet it won't let my arms in. I've tried twice now and have the red skin marks to prove it. I'd hate to give up too soon since this one fits me SOOO good on the bottom and I've found lately that the tops are too big.
I tried on the new FINA approved suits yesterday. To get my arms in was hard, too, although the hardest part for me was over my hips, and my hips are small. I have sore skin, too! The swimsuit sales woman told me LZR elite at least has hips!
But I agree, you need the smaller size so you don't get the gapping on top.
I'll read my instructions to see if there are any tips, but here's what I did:
I brought the suit up as high as I could on my body. Then I closed my eyes and pictured the suit coming up over my arms and then over my shoulders and I pulled each arm in and I made it!
