Personally, I haven't seen any change in the thickness of my hair due to chlorine exposure. The only side effect I've noticed is that it tends to lighten my hair.

The pool I swim in most of the time is saline, however, they do use some chlorine. I'm thinking it may be the cap rubbing and tugging my hair and pulling it out...
