Women's Locker Room

Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.

Hi, I am reviving this thread to talk --to RANT--about swim women's suits. As in, Why do they have to be so unflattering? I recently ordered a cheap poly clearance suit for workouts and it "FIT", but it looked terrible on me. Especially in back. Those super hi-cut legs are so 1980's!!! I am not an overly modest person to say the least, and don't mind the extra skin showing; it's just that in principle I don't like to wear things that make me look bad. I modelled this new poly suit for my family and they all said I actually look better naked.:lolup: That was me in the Aquablade. I looked terrible and I'm actually OK with normal high-cut suits! So for racing I bought a kneeskin. There are both medium and high-cut practice suits out there for us ladies, as well as the fitness ones you describe. I bought a TYR grab-bag endurance one that came with a medium leg, which is actually lower than I expected, but not a super-low boy-cut leg. It's fine for practice and sounds like it might be more what you're after rather than getting an "old-lady " type of one.
