Women's Locker Room

Here's a thread for the ladies to discuss anything that relates to women and swimming. For example, feel free to discuss how disgustingly ugly fastskins are, how the "curse" can kill a meet, how suits don't fit, how swimming wrecks your hair, how hormones unhinge you, etc.

Chris, Sandbagging is very prevalent in every meet, from WR holders on down. Sorry not to get to meet you at Warrenton. I never thought about the clear water thing, though I can see why some might do that. My (naive) impression was that people signed up for the 200 free as a warm-up and then couldn't control themselves and took it out fast. Because who really wants to swim the 200 anyway. right? If I had entered the 200 free it would have been as a warmup, or because my coach made me. I have been called a sandbagger many times by my coach when I switched to sprint gear near the end of practice. So, I can empathize with the sandbagger's mentality. At races for me it is the opposite - my goal is to find that one person who is exactly the same speed as me, battle it out, and then win at the end. So far that has only happened once in a swim meet and never in a triathlon :( Fort maybe we'll meet at another meet. :chug:
