I'm gonna be $20 poorer

So I made this bet with my 9yo daughter. The bet was that if she swam 100 free (this past Sunday) within 30 seconds of what I swim it in (on the 28th), I would have to give her $20 (10 to her, 10 to her savings account). She is very competitive with me (we race down the slides at the swim center :duel:) and she loves to beat me. So I was figuring on her going about 1:35-1:38, which means I would have to go about 1:05, really didn't that would be a problem. So what does she do? She nails her start and does THREE flips turns (she does them well in practice, she just isn't confident in them yet) and throws down a 1:29.37. I was thrilled, cause she looked great. Then I did the math , I gotta go sub 1:00. Maybe in a couple of months, sure, don't think I'm gonna get it in this meet. Ugh, nothing like a trash talking 9yo . Me and my big mouth, maybe I should have held out for 20 seconds?????? Paul

I NTed all my events so I'll be in the early heats. Guess I should have put down an estimate. I'm hoping for about 1:03 but who knows? Paul I put down a 1:04.99 based of my LCM 100. We'll see...training isn't going as well as I hoped (injuries...spousal interference etc) but this meet is a barometer swim for me.
