Just saw this on Swimming World:
MISSION VIEJO, California, September 26. MARK Moore, the editor if SWIM, which is the Masters section of Swimming World Magazine, has been named the head coach of the United States Masters Swimming (USMS) team headed to Perth, Australia for the FINA World Masters Championships next April.
"I am very excited about making a great presence on the deck at Perth as well as in the months leading up to the meet," Moore, the head coach of the Mission Viejo Nadadores, said.
Additionally, Tiffany Forbes of Boulder Aquatic Masters out of Colorado, Mike Collins of Nova Masters Swimming out of California, and John Grzezczak of Gold Coast Masters out of Florida, will join the staff as assistants.
"I am excited about the possibilities for this position and what can be done with the help of our coaching staff," Moore continued. "Their experience will be a great addition and an inspiration to our swimmers."

Congratulations to Mark, Tiffany, Mike and John - and good luck to all masters swimmers attending the FINA 2008 Championships in Perth!

Is it like the nationals in that anyone can enter a certain number of events without qualifying, or do you have to place at a certain level in your own country's nationals? Just curious, not that I'm thinking of going or would even be qualified to go. Maybe it'll be a future goal for me.
