Anyone swim with foot fracture?

Let's just add to my misery having to swim indoors after a glorious summer of outdoor swimming--I walked into a box the first day of my vacation and fractured a bone under the baby toe. It hurt to do breaststroke and backstroke kicks but not that bad--fins actually helped stabilize my foot. I can't run (also run and play tennis) or walk or play tennis, or use stairmaster. Any one have this problem? Did you/would you continue to swim? I don't want to prolong the healing process but I WILL JUST LOSE IT if I can't even swim.

  • Renie -- too funny! Same experience ... I'm also a firm believer that running is great for staying toned and keeping weight off. Much better than swimming for me. However, I think you may be one of the first posters to agree with me. Masters swimming = 5 pounds more weight and bigger shoulders. But I am likewise now addicted, although I still sneak in my runs. :groovy:
