Anyone swim with foot fracture?

Let's just add to my misery having to swim indoors after a glorious summer of outdoor swimming--I walked into a box the first day of my vacation and fractured a bone under the baby toe. It hurt to do breaststroke and backstroke kicks but not that bad--fins actually helped stabilize my foot. I can't run (also run and play tennis) or walk or play tennis, or use stairmaster. Any one have this problem? Did you/would you continue to swim? I don't want to prolong the healing process but I WILL JUST LOSE IT if I can't even swim.

I did see my podiatrist - it's actually a bone at the base of the toe though he did say it was the phalanges (thought that was the toe) Thanks, I will use the duct tape.
