I have done a two-beat crossover kick for years and am a distance swimmer. Is this a bad thing to do? Should I be trying to move up to a faster kick?

2 beat kicking for distance swimming has been around a long time. George Breen who swam for Councillman used a 2 beat kick in the 1956 Olympic 1500 meters.
