I had a hernia operation two days ago. Ouch.
I asked the surgeon when can I get back to the pool and he said in a month. This seemed a bit draconian and I thought he was covering his :mooning:
I asked a nurse and she said two weeks which seems reasonable.
I wanted to ask: do any of you guys have experience returning to swimming after a hernia operation? Any tips for me?

I had knee surgery and had to stay out almost a month because of the incision and possible infection. Nothing to do with the actual surgery.
I can tell you any infection in the abdominal cavity is highly dangerous and can easily be fatal. An infection in my knee would ,at worst, slowed my recovery.
Just another perspective of why the wait is long.:2cents:
