Ok, I am not all that clear about Thursday check in at the Nats.
Here www.usms.org/.../swimmerdetails.php is sais that event check in is "Not required", but aren't we all supposed to be there for some kind of meet this Thursday night?

There is no meet on Thursday, but there is the availablity to check-in for the meet and warm up in the competition pool. If you are in the area, I recommend checking in and doing some work in the main pool. It gets crowded on the first day of the meet, making it difficult to get a feel for the pool at your own pace. If you don't feel the need to jump in the comp pool early, then just show up on your first day of competition and check in then.
