Dara just one the national title in the 100M Freestyle in 54.4 at the ripe old age of 40. Simply Incredible. :applaud: :woot: If that's not inspiring I don't know what is.

Me thinks it is already off the wall. If she does win the 50, which won't be an easy task, then you are probably right. The discussions about Dara will become more intense than what is already been here. Anyone on the forum does have the right to challenge what someone else says and to state their opinion. I agree with Geogre that it shouldn't be done in private email, when the posts/poster I disagree with and possibly others disagree with. I don't have any personal ill will toward elise, but took a different view on some of the things she said. After all, this is a discussion forum where people not only express opinions and ask for advice but others have the right to passionately disagree with a post and poster. If you don't believe me, there are other threads with even more disagreement and passion than this one. There have been a few threads shut down in here......:groovy:

Paul I will defend her if she is not guilty. It does look bad for her. I will still wait until all results are in. I still need definite proof. So far I have only heard a maybe she did.

They gripe when asked to do something other than freestyle too.

I agree with you, wookiee. It is better to be passionate about things in life. You, Rooster, and Sam Perry seem to share at least one thing in common and that is that you will take up for somebody if you feel they are being unfairly attacked. I respect that in all of you and wish we had more of it these days. Anybody heard how the training is going for our Olympians? Is Dara getting trained the same way as the others or are they doing something a little different with her due to her age? See, we can agree to disagree and still get along:drink: Dara probably has her own training regime in place but I don't know for sure.

Again I need to see the official reports, the official documentation not heresay reports that some person says is the truth.

    10. They're territorial about their lane space and new comers. 11. They're usually slow and get in the way when you pass them. 12. They are even more selfish and consumed about personal training time than swimmers. Here's a summary of the past 5 years of discussion on this topic: 1 - most only want to do free sets 2 - most want to pull every set 3 - most have more gizmos and gear than an Army batallion 4 - all they talk about is how much they ran or bike the day before and why they can't swim good today 5 - they admire noodlers for their lack of physical exertion 6 - every single one will come to at least one workout a year and try out the wetsuit 7 - they wear wetsuits 8 - they wear snorkeling goggles 9 - they say strange things like "I'm not kicking to save my legs." That should sum it up. Let me know if I've left anything off.

No that is not proof. It proves that a certain country's Olympic Committee has no guts to put out the truth and until it does there still is no proof.

    10. They're territorial about their lane space and new comers. Translated "They don't feel that they have to share a lane with anyone else" I always laugh when I see people standing around during lap swim times because they 1) won't ask to share with someone 2) they feel they are entitled to their own lane 3) don't feel anyone else is good enough to swim with them
