I would have until now, but he'll be tied to the Michael Phelps legacy forever, most likely. I think 46.06 will stick in peoples minds for a while.
Plus he finally got an individual medal.
Mihal Alexandrov. I believe he was born here in Champaign, IL. Went to Northwestern. goes to the Olympics as a Hungarian. His dad was an Olympian for Hungary a long time ago. he still swims in our masters.
8 gold metals. how awesome.
Would anyone say Jason Lezak has has a disappointing Olympic career?
Dara's stock really went up, not only on her chances of getting gold, but also as a person. Pretty cool how she asked the judge to wait for Therese.
P.S. Former UGA star KL Joyce made it into the finals!!!

"Very good, but that's what a mature mind does--understands the occasion. Win or lose the Swedish girl got to race and can remember that she left it in the pool...not in the locker room b/c of a busted zupper!" Swimstud
That's what I thought too. She understood what that swim would mean to the Swedish swimmer. Older folks aren't as afraid of authority...it couldn't hurt to ask.
