George: I understand your point--and I have to tell you as straight as I can that I do not agree. I know a Gold Medal Olympic Swimmer from Athens very well and have known this swimmer since the swimmer was a young kid. This swimmer is 100% committed and fanatical in taking NOTHING that could possibly be tainted with PED. In fact, this swimmer goes to great lengths to ensure that NOTHING illegal enters their system. All to often we see the blame game and finger pointing that everyone but THEM is guilty for this junk ending up in their systems. RESPONSIBILITY 101--

Yes George---and it comes in the way of - test results! Why on earth do we have standards that EVERYONE MUST ABIDE BY or they are found guilty? Heck, if we cannot trust the results then why they heck are they in place? As far as the Hardy deal goes--heck, her coach had two other swimmers under his coaching that tested + and Hardy also tested +, so why make these lame excuses that she was clean? Look at every single athlete that tested + over the years and see clearly they ALL say, "Oh no, it was not me it must have been the test or the supplement I was taking." Everyone has to be responsible for what they put into their system--and Hardy is being held responsible for her actions!The tests they give are more than likely not reliable if their testing was reliable then who knows how many have taken illegal garbage. I did not say she was clean. I did say or should say she may not be responsible. The fault could have resulted in her receiving false information.

Is there any proof positive there are any clean swimmers?

As I posted earlier....just like Kicker Vencill.....his + test result was due to a supplement that he was taking that had a banned substance in it.....DOES NOT matter how it got there.....he found through the whole process that YES he and ONLY he is responsible for what goes in his body. He sued the company and won....all that did was lower his ban to 2 years.

Gull: You are right--NO CRIME UNDER CURRENT LAW! But, she deprived other swimmers of their right to go to the Olympic Games due to her cheating, no good rotten deception and busting the rules to serve her selfish wishes....and the other swimmers who did not go to China spent YEARS and thousands and thousands of yards busting their back sides to get there--ONLY to be deprived by a cheating PED user! And, I have not mentioned the money the CLEAN swimmers were deprived of from Hardy's cheating. Jail? HECK YES---SHE COST THE INNOCENT A LOT OF MONEY AND THEIR TIME IN THE SUN! I HAVE ZERO SIMPATHETY FOR HARDY OR ANY OTHER KNOWN PED CHEAT! THEY ARE SELF CENTERED, EGO FILLED, GREADEY JERKS!

I read here that two other swimmers of Coach Salo have tested positive also. No I will not name the coach who is barred from coaching in the USA. But others have named him here in the past. Will someone post his name. I am afraid to. You can look his name up here www.timedfinals.com/.../

I gave you lots of stuff but as I said before some people cannot read. I guess if left to a few of you that everyone should get the death penalty, guilty or not. Can we even trust the testers results?? Maybe they brought in the French test team and before many of you said they were wrong when it came down to your favorite cyclists. She must have had something that gave the test results but rather then all the palavor about what she did wrong I would like to hear how it got into her system. It got in her system because she took a banned substance plain and simple and got caught. When you throw out statements like coaches drugging athletes you imply that happens and like it or not you implied Salo could have done that. Again just plain wrong to even insinuate it. If most of us all know who the coach who has done this in the past why not name him? I am so sick and tired in inferences and innuendo on here. If it is in some sort of supplement, then others would have tested positive. That defense holds nothing with me, because she is the only one who showed 2 positive tests.
