Does anyone know of some good resources for perfecting starting from a block? :dunno:
I can seem to do a good start dive consistently from the deck, but almost everytime I start from the block, I get off balance and screw up my start in the water, or worse lose my focus and timing and all goes downhill from there. :frustrated:

Many swimmers prefer the track start because it's stable...and has been known to offer a faster reaction time.
On the other hand, studies have shown that even though the grab start has a slower reaction time off of the blocks...swimmers tend to surface evenly with the track starters.
Whatever you find most comfortable.
