Next year with Peirsol, Phelps, and Lochte will still be interesting. Perhaps even more so if Phelps gets the record tonight. I was disappointed with Peirsol's morning swim. Hopefully he'll step it up a notch tonight. IF Phelps even selects one of the two backs to swim. Any predictions on what he will swim - I think the 200 and 400 IM are givens as well as both flys and the 200 free. It's a bit murkerier after that - 100 free, 100 back, 200 back ... going for all three means 11 events (including all 3 relays) which seems a bit wacked even for Phelps.
I would be very surprised if he does the 100 free and both the 200 and 100 back, I could see him doing one of the two backstroke events and possibly the 400, and thats still 9-11 events, which is a boatload for anyone.
