anyone else think it's absolutely insane that the top 51 finishers in the men's 2fly all had OT cuts?!?!?! and the top 34 finishers in the women's 2fly?!?!?!?!

51 is a lot. 34 is just right.
Trials cuts are based on the time of a certain placing at nationals. I think its the 40th-fastest time, but it could be faster than that. I remember there only being less than 30 people in the 100 *** at the 1992 trials. That's three-and-a-half heats, so the time might have been fast then.
