I saw Dara Torres swim at South Sectional this past weekend in Ft. Lauderdale and I thought I should report. 24.81 in the 50 free at night www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/.../15146.asp 55.28 in the 100 free www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/.../15152.asp It was very interesting to watch her swim. First, she swims BIG. What that heck does that mean? Well, you just have to watch her. She swims relaxed with a very long stroke. Since she is so tall and broad of shoulder she is impressive to watch swim She swam her 50 breathing every third. That was very interesting since so many (including myself) will strive to minimize breathing in the 50. This is a testiment to how balanced her stroke is.

I actually was shaved. I rested a week and that didn't seem to work too well. Ryan had some great swims. I was impressed with his 200 free. He was even with Cramer going into the final turn. Lochte visibly picked up the tempo just as he entered the turn, then powered through the underwater to gain a body length lead. I think these are his splits: 26.22 54.36 1:22.37 1:48.74 (26.37!) Thanks for the podcast.
