They're quite harmless but annoying. If you've ever noticed a record breaking number of users on-line..it's because the spiders count as visiting "guests".

Spider (or Bots) actively visit VBulletin forums day and night. They seek out e-mails for spamming purposes. They're quite harmless but annoying. If you've ever noticed a record breaking number of users on-line..it's because the spiders count as visiting "guests". That makes me feel all itchy!
