Suit Recommendation

I'm a lifelong briefs wearer - old school. However, I'm now looking to get a new fsII or fspro - probably the legskins. Not sure I can tell the difference. Seeking advice. Which is better. Are they worth the $$? Will I really be "faster"? I primarily race long distance open water. Do these suits continue to repel water after racing for over 30 min, 60 min 120 min? Or do they start to absorb and you end up dragging pounds of water? Thanks in advance for input. -Rob

  • The suits will continue to repel water until the point they become "worn out". I'm sure there could be some distance limitations, but it appears to be more of a number of times wet/dry thing. Having both kinds of suits, I think the pro is better suited for the longer life of long distance swims. It does take some getting used to though.
