Hate to double post, but it looks like the Florida forum is not that well traveled.....
------------------------
The USMS listings don't look to have been updated for some of these since '03. The Florida local group website lists a contact person that the email comes back undeliverable. And the Team Orlando website does not list any practice times and few email addresses- some phone numbers but without knowing who you are calling......
My family will be coming down to the Orlando area for a week at the beginning of August and I wanted to check on places to swim. We will be staying down off 192 towards Kissimmee.
So it looks like the program at Celebration Health might be the closest choice??? There appear to be 2 programs in Kissimmee that may also be viable options?
I believe that the last time we came down a couple of years ago, I went to the Y's Aquatic Center off of Int'l Dr. So, that may be another option???
I'm looking for information in regards to practice times/pool availability, fees to swim, facilities, w/o information, and most importantly, a contact person/coach!
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
I go to Orlando on a regular basios and the best place to swim is the "Y on I Drive" that you mention. The last I heard is that the coached masters workouts are at 12:00 Noon until 1:30. Unfortunately no early morning masters workouts which is what I look for because meetings don't allow for noon workouts. There is lap swimming, LCM this time of year, all day long though, and if you have your masters registration with you, its $5 instead of $10. Hope this helps.
On vacation in the Celebration/Kissimmee area in early October. Bad timing as it's only two weeks before the ASA (English) Masters championships but Disney is calling! Can anyone provide any updates on Masters swimming in the area?

Hello from an Old Otter! Enjoyed my two three-year residences in the Greater London area and swam several times in the ASA Champs.
I would start with:

for a regular workout. Lots of information there. But for a unique experience, you must try:

My wife and I did that this year and had a great time. Not many folks in England will have that patch.
